One Body

Over the last few months, God has been teaching me so much about His Body... this divinely-woven, worldwide family of sinners who have been redeemed... all seeking together to know their Savior and be His hands and feet in the world. Being far away from my home church and friends who have been my community for so long has allowed God to broaden my understanding of the Body of Christ and to appreciate the gift of the community of believers.

I spent the weekend in the village of Ipil and was able to build deeper relationships with two sweet members of the Body of Christ, Roger and his wife Carmen. I'm so thankful for them and that God has brought us together as family through Christ.

Roger and Carmen working on preparing the abaca fiber that they will sell to provide for their family. They taught me how to tie the fibers and let me help them with their work yesterday :)
